Get help with Been There
Your trips, timers, and preferences are stored locally on your device first, in local storage. If cloud backup is on (the default), the same data is also copied to a private, anonymous backup in the EU. See the privacy policy for details.
The reliable way is Export/Import: go to Settings in the app, tap Export Data, and save the JSON file. On your new device, open Been There, go to Settings, tap Import Data, and upload the file or paste the JSON. Cloud backup restores automatically when your device's own anonymous identifier already has a backup, but a new install cannot read an old install's backup — Export/Import is the guaranteed way to move data between devices.
